1. Who is the data controller

The data controller for personal data processed through AppeakPro is APPEAK PRO LLC, 14205 N Mo Pac Expy, Ste 570, Austin, TX 78728-6529, United States. You can reach us via the contact form for any privacy-related request.

2. What we collect

Account data. When you sign up we collect your email address and a hashed password (or a third-party authentication identifier if you sign in with a provider). We may collect your name and country if you provide them at checkout.

App data you submit. When you run an audit or request an Optimization Report, you provide a public App Store or Google Play URL. We fetch the public listing metadata (title, subtitle, description, keywords, screenshots, icon, ratings, category) for the apps you analyze. This is public information, but it is associated with your account in our database.

Generated outputs. We store the audits, keyword research, metadata rewrites, creative briefs, and PDF reports we produce for you, so you can access them later.

Billing data. Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card number. Lemon Squeezy shares with us a transaction reference, your billing email, your country, and the plan you purchased - enough for us to provision your subscription and produce a receipt.

Usage data. We log basic technical information (IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, errors) for security, debugging, and analytics. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

3. How we use your data

• To provide the service: run audits, generate reports, deliver PDFs, send email notifications.
• To bill you and prevent payment fraud (via Lemon Squeezy).
• To provide customer support when you contact us.
• To maintain security, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• To improve the product using anonymized, aggregated usage patterns.
• To send service emails (account, billing, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your opt-in.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are:

• Contract: to provide the service you signed up for and bill you for paid plans.
• Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
• Consent: for non-essential cookies and any marketing emails you opt into.
• Legal obligation: to retain billing records and respond to lawful requests.

5. Sub-processors we share data with

We use the following service providers (“sub-processors”) to run AppeakPro. Each receives only the data needed for its function and is bound by its own data protection terms:

• Supabase (PostgreSQL database, authentication, file storage) - hosts your account data and generated reports.
• Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record / billing) - processes payments and tax compliance.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) - receives the app metadata you submit in order to generate keyword research, metadata rewrites, and creative briefs. Anthropic does not train models on customer API data.
• AppTweak (paid keyword data) - receives keyword strings to look up search volume and difficulty.
• Inngest (background job orchestration) - coordinates the report generation pipeline.
• Resend (transactional email) - delivers account and notification emails.
• PostHog (product analytics) - receives anonymized usage events to help us understand how the product is used.
• Vercel (hosting) - hosts the application and processes inbound requests.

We will never sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing. The sub-processors above receive only what they need to deliver the service to you, and they are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

6. International transfers

Our sub-processors are primarily located in the United States and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the U.S., the relevant Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards are in place via each sub-processor’s data processing agreement.

7. How long we keep data

• Account data: while your account is active, plus up to 90 days after deletion.
• Audits and reports: for the lifetime of your account, so you can revisit them.
• Billing records: at least seven (7) years to meet tax and accounting obligations.
• Server logs: typically 30 to 90 days.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete most of your account data yourself from your account settings; if you need a full deletion of all associated records, just ask.

If you are in the EEA or UK and we cannot resolve your concern, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (managed by our sub-processors), strict access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you and any required authority within the timeframes required by law.

10. Children

AppeakPro is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or via an in-app notice before they take effect.
